New York: First Day

Hey all! I know it's been forever but I have finally settled down at home after weeks of traveling and visiting people. I now have to sit and work on some homework, but also load some more pics of my summer!

These are a few pictures I took when I first got to New York. The rest I post later will just be random shots that are my faves.

Of course the first thing you notice are the people. Men are dressed in classic suits and women wear sophisticated dresses in a variety of silhouettes all looking like they do in movies. But you also have the people who take a more laid -back approach in their style and still just as great!

I just couldn't get over how big everything was! and how colorful. It's one thing to see it all in pictures or the movies but to see it in real life was amazing.

And like a flower hidden within the weeds, a beautiful building like this one would pop up. The architecture was definitely noticeable amongst the other tall, crowded buildings.

This shot is unfocused, but I think it completely captures my overall view of New York City. Memories of this fast- paced, wonderful city are all a blur but there are things I do distinctly remember. People, buildings, shapes, colors- somewhat faded through my memories but clear enough to know it wasn't just a dream *sigh*
