A couple weeks ago, I was invited to attend my first clothing swap presented by The Swapaholics and sponsored by Lulu's. Never gone to one before, but hearing how much fun they could be, I was very curious and excited to see how it all worked.
The idea is simple but wonderful, as these gals bring in their gently worn clothing to swap for other pieces they would find. What was once just taking up space in someone's closet, becomes a new found treasure to another! And there are many types of treasures as these gals all have a different and unique sense of style!
The best part was finding out the small piece of history or story that came with the garment you picked up. Whenever one voice exclaimed she had found what she was looking for, another voice would soon follow telling how they first come upon it; whether it was given to them by a special person or they happily stumbled upon it by accident!
I definitely enjoyed myself at this event and can't wait to attend another!
